EASY ESR Enhancements

Giltbyte's EASY ESR Enhancements product will provide many benefits to NHS trusts using the new Electronic Staff Record system. Data is taken from ESR and placed into the EASY ESR Enhancements own database as part of a monthly batch process. Moving data into a local database increases speed for users and eases the burden on the trust's N3 connection. Locally held data can then be reported on and edited through our streamlined user interfaces. Modified data is then inserted back into ESR in a single batch process.

The EASY ESR Enhancements module is new a development and we are actively adding functionality to it. Current features include:

Absence Return Report

The absence return report produces data capture forms for department managers to record employee absences in their department.

Manpower Pay Return

The manpower pay return provides a conduit for staff to enter time and attendance data. Data entry can be performed by any member of staff that has been given the correct access privileges, all data must then be reviewed and authorised by a department manager.

Time and attendance data is entered directly though a screen in the EASY ESR Enhancements module or loaded from an Excel spreadsheet. Alternatively, the EASY ESR Enhancements module can produce, and email, template spreadsheets for specified members of staff to complete. Managers and members of staff can also receive notification emails indicating that they are required to take some action in the EASY ESR Enhancements module.

Once the data has been collected, it is loaded in to ESR for processing. Several reports on the collected data are available through the EASY ESR Enhancements module; they can be run locally and therefore do not impact on the performance of other ESR users.
