EASY PenCals is approved by NHS Pensions. PenCals is a complete NHS Pension system that provides benefit estimates with covering letters, where appropriate, and redundancy calculations (including non-pension contributors).
EASY PenCals now also fully supports the new NHS redundancy arrangements, which became effective from 1st October 2006. As well as continuing to cover the premature retirement and redundancy regulation prior to the 1st October 2006. EASY PenCals will now also show the options available to an employee if they qualify for any of the transitional protection arrangements.

EASY PenCals will produce an estimate of benefits for an individual on request based upon information keyed into the system or downloaded from NHS Pensions. EASY PenCals enables you to download your complete Authority History from NHS Pensions. This prevents the need for time consuming data entry of personnel and should provide a complete employment history for all NHSPS members in your trust.
The estimate is produced using the criteria laid down in the Employing Authority Guide. Some superannuation officers prefer to verbally advise the contributor of the figures, although the system is able to produce standard letters to the person or produce a standard form for the Personnel Office, if the enquiry was raised there.
